Directory
Groups seeking a sponsor.
Every group here applied, was approved, and agreed in writing to appear. Each one describes its own work in its own words.
No groups listed yet
This directory is empty, and we are not going to fake it.
Applications have opened and no group has completed the process yet. We could fill this page with illustrative examples. We are not going to, because a made-up organisation on a page like this is a made-up person in need, and once a site does that nothing else on it can be trusted.
When the first group is approved and has agreed to the exact wording of its own listing, it appears here. Not before.
If you run an eligible group
You do not have to wait for this page to fill up. Apply, and if the 3% commitment already covers a place you may be sponsored without ever being listed.
Apply to be sponsoredIf you want to sponsor
Register now and we will write to you when the first groups are listed and sponsorship opens. One email, not a newsletter.
Register as a sponsor01 / How listings work
Rules we wrote before there was anything to list.
A directory of under-resourced organisations shown to donors can go badly wrong. It becomes a catalogue, ranked by whoever sounds most desperate. These constraints exist so that it does not.
- A listing describes work, not hardship. What the group does, who it serves, and what the tools would let it do. Never a plea.
- The group writes its own description. We edit for length and clarity, never for emotional effect. If their own words are undramatic, they ship undramatic.
- Written consent before anything is published, and the group sees the exact text first.
- A group can be removed at any time, for any reason, with no effect on access already granted.
- No photographs of people anywhere on this site, and no named individuals in a listing.
- Nothing about the people a group serves. No case studies, no personal stories, no data about anyone under 18.
- One number per listing — the annual cost to cover them. No countdowns, no progress bars, no urgency indicators, no ordering by need.
- No obligation to thank anyone. Sponsorship does not buy a testimonial, a logo placement or a case study.
If a design change would make a listing more persuasive at the cost of the group’s dignity, it does not ship. That rule is written into the repository, not just into this page.
02 / Order
How this page will be sorted.
By how long a group has been waiting, longest first. Not by urgency, not by how compelling the description is, and not by anything we can tune.
Sorting a page like this by persuasiveness rewards groups for performing hardship. Sorting by waiting time rewards nobody and cannot be gamed, which is the point.
If a group has been waiting long enough that the wait is itself a problem, that is our failure to find sponsors, and it belongs in the annual report rather than on a progress bar. See what we have committed to publish.
Two ways in.
Whether you need a place or want to cover one.
