Terms
Terms for this website and the access programme.
Short, because the programme is simple. The platform itself is governed separately.
1. Who you are contracting with
irabu.org is an access programme operated by Irabu. A separate legal entity for the nonprofit arm is in formation and is not yet registered, so any obligation described here is an obligation of Irabu. When the entity is registered we will update this page and say what, if anything, transferred.
2. This website
The content here is provided for information. We try hard to keep it accurate and current — that is the point of the transparency page — but we do not warrant that every page is free of error. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it.
Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Eligibility criteria describe how we assess applications; they do not entitle any organisation to an award.
3. Applying
- You must be authorised by your organisation to apply on its behalf.
- The information you give must be accurate. A material inaccuracy is grounds for us to decline or to withdraw access.
- You must not include personal data about students, pupils or anyone under 18 in your application.
- We may verify what you tell us against public registers and directories.
4. If you are approved
- Access is granted to the organisation, not to you personally, and is not transferable.
- Access runs for twelve months and renews on confirmation that your organisation still meets the criteria. There is no limit on renewals.
- Access is provided at no charge. We will not convert your organisation to a paid plan, or begin charging, without asking you first and getting a yes.
- Use of the platform is governed by the platform terms at https://getirabu.com/terms. Where those terms and this page conflict about the programme itself — eligibility, cost, term — this page governs.
5. Conditions we do not impose
To be explicit, because programmes like this often do impose them: you are not required to display our logo, provide a testimonial, appear in a case study, take a sales call, or refer anyone. Access is not conditional on publicity of any kind.
6. Acceptable use
Beyond the platform terms, participation in this programme requires that you do not use the workspace to profile, score or surveil the people your organisation serves, and that you do not resell, sublicense or transfer the access you have been given.
7. Ending access
We may end access if your organisation stops meeting the eligibility criteria, if the acceptable use terms above are breached, or if your application turns out to have been materially untrue. In each case we will write to you first, explain the reason, and give you at least 30 days to export your data before anything is switched off.
You may leave whenever you like, with no notice and no exit fee, and take your data with you.
If we had to close the programme entirely, we would give recipients at least 90 days’ notice and a working export route. We are not going to promise it will run forever, because we cannot know that.
8. Liability
The programme is provided free of charge and without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the programme.
Do not use the platform as the sole store of records you are legally required to retain, without your own backup. That is sensible practice with any supplier, us included.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects existing recipients we will email them rather than relying on this page being re-read, and the change will not apply retrospectively to a term already running.
10. Governing law
The governing law and forum will be stated here once the entity is registered and its jurisdiction is fixed. Until then, questions about a dispute should go to hello@irabu.org and we will tell you plainly which law currently applies to the operating company.
